A Little Update

Thirty Weeks

Thirty-Four Weeks

My how the time has flown! Just six weeks left until full term and we meet our precious new bundle :)

Generally I've been well but recently I've been feeling niggly little pains telling me that bubs and I are nearing the end of our pregnancy. I often feel breathless as well along with overwhelming tiredness.  I did have heartburn at night for a while but found that if I ate my evening meal at midday and didn't eat at night I wouldn't suffer from it. So all in all, I've had it all pretty darn good so far.

The doc's and midwives we've met so far have been lovely.  Bubbykins to the best of our knowledge is growing well and is head down, bottom up already.  The Doctor measured my belly on Tuesday along with the other checks and said he didn't expect this little one to be too big, which I'm so thankful for.  Kookaburra was seven pound and thirteen whilst Kangaroo was six pound twelve and with a six foot six daddy I'm so grateful cause there is definite potential there for some big bubbas.

After our bigger boys births we've learnt to say no to the pethadine - this slowed Kookaburra's heart rate right down. and to try to do without the gas - vomiting straight into Mr E's lap wasn't exactly an endearing moment! This time I plan to move around more and involve my husband more actively - lean on him, let him rub my back, be in the shower with me, anything I feel I need from him, I know more than ever that our babys birth can truly be a more shared experience.

Well, like I said, can hardly believe there are only six weeks left! The way I keep my blog, perhaps the next time I check in will be to introduce our new bundle.  I hope I'll be better than that though!

Jane - check you out, hot mamma!!! You look gorgeous!! I can't believe you have six weeks left (probably less now because I am hopeless at checking blogs!)I'm so glad to hear that you are keeping well and that all Drs. reports are positive. I'm sure all the boys in the house are getting a little bit excited by now - especially the 6ft one!!! Take care of yourself!! Much love to your lot from mine.
